Calcium Carbonate is added to polymers primarily for cost reduction and performance enhancement. It replaces part of the expensive polymer resin while improving rigidity, heat resistance, and surface finish. It also helps improve productivity by reducing shrinkage and improving melt flow in certain formulations.
